Scholarship program for the meritorious and needy students |

Education is a pre-requisite for the overall development of the country. In
this sector, our contribution through DBBF is worth mentioning. DBBF has
been awarding scholarships to the meritorious and needy students of the
following levels every year since 2003: |

DBBL
awards about 1250 scholarships every year to needy and meritorius students
studing at H.S.C., Bachelor and Masters level. The scholarships are
available for the entire academic period and the bank spends about Tk. 4.00
crore every year for awarding these scholarships. |

b. |
M.
Phil / Ph.D/ Post Doctoral Level: Fellowship is given to those researchers
having Masters degree and studying at different public universities in M.
Phil / Ph.D/ Post Doctoral Level. Every year 50 fellowships are given in
this level to the researchers for their full academic period (as required by
the university curriculum). According to the existing criterion of
fellowship for the researchers of M. Phil / Ph.D/ Post Doctoral Level is
Tk.5,000.00 per month. |

examination throughout the country. |

Description of the
program: Many
of our meritorious student is sufferings a lot to continue their study. As
merit is the basis of development so Dutch-Bangla Bank Foundation (DBBF) has
been providing scholarship for the full academic period to meritorious and
needy students of different academic levels of different institutions from
rural and urban areas of Bangladesh. This scholarship program helps to
continue the study of poor and meritorious students as well as spreading the
light of education among the destitute part of the society.
Disbursed scholarship:
DBBF has
already awarded 626 (six hundred & twenty six) scholarship and Tk.
2,74,63,000/= (two crore seventy four lac sixty three thousand) only has
already disbursed in this purpose.
